Temperature, humidity, wind speed, and precipitation data is fetched in real time from Open-Meteo, a free and open-source weather API. When the site loads, your browser makes requests directly to Open-Meteo's servers. Open-Meteo does not require user accounts and does not store personal data. If you grant permission, Tempamental uses your browser's built-in geolocation API to detect your approximate location and automatically select your nearest city. This location data is used only to identify the nearest city in our list — it is never transmitted to our servers or stored anywhere beyond your current browser session. You can deny location permission and the site will work normally using your manually selected default city.
Tempamental itself does not set cookies. However, Google Analytics and Google AdSense set their own cookies as described above. These are standard industry cookies used for analytics and advertising purposes.
